Current Projects for 2023
Orphan Acres is constantly working to expand our facility and programs. Right now we are working on three major projects which we need help funding and putting into action.
New fencing
We are working hard to complete fencing on 166 acres that we purchased a few years ago. This additional acreage will allow us to build individual pastures for our senior and less mobile horses, as well as spread out our main herd to lessen the load on our current pastures. This project has all the materials in place, we just need manpower to put it into action.
We own this entire hillside. We need to get the fence put up so our horses can enjoy it!
Barn Construction
One of our three barns is in the need of being replaced. We are hoping to create a nee barn where we can further our facilities with new technology to make the horses lives even better, and more appealing for our staff and volunteers.

HAY BARNS
One of our hay barn’s cover was torn apart in the winter winds and we are now in need of replacing it. We are hoping to have the new cover on in time for the 2023 haying season. We are always looking for donations and vounteers.
